Alice & Josh were married this February at the beautiful Tarureka Estate. Alice had done her searching via the internet and stumbled upon my website. She desperately wanted a designer who could do a botanical theme with an abundance of color. Josh is Australian and they happily live in Melbourne which meant the planning had to be done via email and skype. In fact I actually never got to meet them till the day before the wedding. Alice had an incredible vision for her wedding and not shy about color at all. He sister the maid of honor even had a stunning hypnotic hydrangea print dress that was incredible with the flowers we chose. Texture and foliage was also just as important as flowers. Everything from huge dahlias, hydrangea, scabiosa, roses of all varieties, gum leaf, copper beech, Queen Anne's lace, jasmine, ornamental apples and even blackberries.
I created a 1/4 crown/facinator of scabiosa, copper beech leaves and blackberrries she wore to the side and I loved the end result.
"I loved everything you chose and my bouquet was literally the coolest thing I've ever seen! It was unreal!"
Alice even created a beautiful structure above the table herself asking us to provide the flowers and greenery. It was something she was super excited about and I think she did a beautiful job.
This creative stylish bride dove right into her day making it one to remember and making my job an absolute pleasure. Thank you Alice and Josh for your trust and encouragement to do what we do best.
A very special thank you to Anna Munro for these breathtaking images.
